According to the 2014 Surgeon General’s Report, smoking causes diabetes, and people with diabetes who smoke have a 30% to 40% higher risk for type 2 diabetes than nonsmokers.  Helping smokers with diabetes to quit is one of the most effective ways to improve diabetes control.

So, how do you talk to a patient with diabetes about quitting smoking? Ms. MacAller provides an overview of how smoking affects diabetes and ofers practical tips and strategies for helping patients with diabetes quit smoking. Webinar topics include:
