Webinar Overview

New tobacco and nicotine products are regularly introduced in the U.S. market. Additionally, products that have been around for centuries are increasing in popularity and use. Ms. Homer Vagadori will share information on who uses new & emerging products, how they each compare to cigarettes, and implications for cessation. The following products will be discussed:

  • Hookah
  • Cigars, Little Cigars, and Cigarillos
  • Menthol
  • Smokeless Tobacco Products

About the Presenter

K-Homer-VagadoriKimberlee Homer Vagadori is the Project Director for the California Youth Advocacy Network (CYAN). In tobacco control for 14 years, she is an expert on college tobacco-free policy, youth and young adult advocacy, and tobacco industry sponsorship issues and has successfully coordinated systemwide policy initiatives in California.

Ms. Homer Vagadori also provides technical assistance and training to local, state, and national organizations on issues such as youth engagement in local advocacy, tobacco and the environment, emerging tobacco products, campus-based cessation services, and tobacco industry targeting of youth and young adults.
